MAD Solutions acquired the Arab world distribution rights to the film Salma’s Home, written and directed by Hanadi Elyan. The film will have its world premiere at Cinequest Film and Creativity Festival 2022, USA, in April.

The Film Salma’s Home set in Jordan, revolves around three women with distinct personalities.

SALMA (Juliet Awad) is a talented baker living alone in a large old house overlooking downtown Amman running an un profitable home-based bakery, her daughter FARAH (Sameera Asir) is a young working mother with marital problems.

Their lives are disrupted by the death of Salma’s ex-husband. The funeral takes place at his current wife’s house, LAMIA (Rania Kurdi), an aspiring socialite who is obsessed with building her brand online.

After the funeral, shocking facts come to light leading to territorial clashes and finally forcing the three women to accept some harsh realities and take control of their lives.

Written and directed by Hanadi Elyan, the film stars Jordanian actresses; Juliet Awad (Salma) a veteran actor who is recognized as one of the most established actors in the country, Rania Kurdi (Lamia)known for her role in El Hasa El Sabaa (The Seventh Sense), returns to cinema after many successful years working in TV and music industry, along with Sameera Asir (Farah) who made her acting debut in the film Degrade which was selected for Cannes Film Festival, round off the main cast.

Suad Bushnaq composed the music for the film while Nathan Bennett (Reel LA Productions) produced the film.

Writer/ director Hanadi Elyan, is a Palestinian-Jordanian filmmaker whose work focuses on the social issues facing marginalized communities from a female perspective.

Hanadi's films competed in film festivals around the world. She started her film career in Jordan, then she moved to Dubai and established Reel Arab Productions. Later, she moved to Los Angeles after being selected for a full ride scholarship, where she earned her MFA in Film Production / Directing from UCLA.

Based in Boston, Massachusetts, Hanadi currently serves as Assistant Professor of Narrative Film Directing at Emerson College.

She has previously won numerous funds and awards for her films, including Jordan Film Fund, Hollywood Foreign Press Association Award, Delia Salvi Memorial award, Special Jury award at Tangiers Film Festival for Mariam's Chance, George Burns and Gracie Allen Scholarship Fellowship in Comedy and The UCLA Directors Spotlight Award.

Nathan Bennett is a film and TV producer. He started his production company Reel Arab Productions and began working on projects for the Middle East’s largest broadcaster MBC in Dubai.

His company worked on over 150 TV episodes and segments for MBC.

Nathan moved to Los Angeles and rebranded his company to Reel LA Productions and has been focusing on narrative film production.
