Egyptian Pavilion at Cannes Film Market wins Best Pavilion Award 2025

Egyptian Pavilion at 2025 Cannes Film Market (Marché du Film) won the Best Pavilion Design Award in its fifth edition, a prestigious prize awarded to the most outstanding pavilions in terms of design, activities, and visitor engagement.

Organized jointly by Cairo International Film Festival, El Gouna Film Festival, and Egyptian Film Commission (EFC), the Egyptian Pavilion succeeded in delivering a comprehensive experience reflecting a clear vision in event organization and activity planning that combines cinematic promotion with effective professional networking among filmmakers from around the world.

Renowned actor Hussein Fahmy, president of Cairo International Film Festival, expressed his happiness with the award, stating:
"This win confirms the excellence achieved by Egyptian Pavilion at Cannes Market, where it was designed and organized based on a clear vision aimed at highlighting Egypt’s diverse cinematic capabilities. We made sure to offer interactive and professional activities that bring together Egyptian and international filmmakers, reflecting the spirit of cooperation and partnership we believe in. This achievement is not only a culmination of our joint efforts but also a platform to enhance the international presence of Egyptian cinema and support the film industry in Egypt."
